On September 23 FileMaker released version 1.1 of FileMaker Go for iPhone and FileMaker Go for iPad, the popular new apps that let users work with FileMaker Pro databases wherever they are via a wireless or 3G connection.

Download FileMaker Go 1.1 from the iTunes App Store today to take advantage of the exciting new features including:

Save as PDF

Convert your data to a PDF and then email it from FileMaker Go—all in a couple of clicks. Create invoices on the spot and send them to your clients. Or send conference schedules to attendees. It's easy to share your data while on the go.

Photo support

Take a photo with your iPhone and add it directly to your databases on FileMaker Go. Or select a photo from an existing library on iPhone or iPad and add it to FileMaker Go. Then email your photo in one simple click from the same interface. In addition to photos you can open and view documents and other supported file types. Plus you can email any file directly from FileMaker Go.

Save database

Save a copy of your database on FileMaker Go and email it as an attachment. Collect field research notes or send sales leads to your team. It's a perfect way to collaborate with other FileMaker Pro users while you're away from the office.

Import from FileMaker Pro

Automatically import records from FileMaker Pro to FileMaker Go using scripts. Import records between local databases or from a hosted file. It's a convenient way to transfer the data you need while away from your desk.

FileMaker Go 1.1 is available now as a free download for existing FileMaker Go users from the App Store. FileMaker Go for iPhone and iPod touch (running iOS 4) is AU$23.99 and FileMaker Go for iPad (running iOS 3.2) is AU$47.99.

Want to experience FileMaker Go 1.1 first hand? Then pop into your closest Apple Store where you can test out the Apps on an iPhone or iPad for yourself.

FileMaker Go in the News FileMaker Go has been receiving some great local media attention since its launch in July and we wanted to share some of the highlights:

Australian Macworld 4 Mice Macworld awarded FileMaker Go 4 out of 5 mice stating: "FileMaker Go can store databases directly on the device, but more compelling is its ability to access databases hosted by FileMaker Pro or FileMaker Server. With real-time access one can, in theory, use a database from any place with Wi-Fi or 3G network coverage." www.filemaker.com.au/nl/mwfmgo

New Zealand HeraldMark Webster called FileMaker Go: "A very serious new iPad (and iPhone) app" in his recent blog post 'How useful is an iPad?' on NZ Herald which explored the many uses of the iPad device. "FileMaker Go gives end users full access to databases while away from their computers. It effectively makes FileMaker extensible into the iDevice realm—it's not a development platform, but a viewer that lets you modify some of the data." www.filemaker.com.au/nl/nzhfmgo
