Bill Epling

Senior Vice President of Finance and Operations and Chief Financial Officer

Bill Epling is senior Vice President of Finance and Operations and Chief Financial Officer of FileMaker, Inc., a worldwide leader in database software for workgroups. Epling has been CFO of FileMaker (and its predecessor Claris Corp.) since 1996.

In this capacity, he manages the company's finance, worldwide operations, and information systems and technology departments. He also oversees the FileMaker Japan team, leveraging his international business expertise, which includes serving (before joining FileMaker) as director of finance for Apple France, and director of tax and treasury for Apple Europe.

Epling’s experience prior to FileMaker included other senior finance roles in treasury, licensing, sales and product development organizations during his 7 years at Apple, Inc. Prior to Apple, Epling served in a variety of treasury roles at PepsiCo, Inc. and JC Penney Corp. He has a B.S. degree in industrial engineering and an MBA degree in finance, both from Columbia University in New York.
