FileMaker Unveils New Bento Business Organizer

Eight new templates and Avery print labels for QR Codes help businesses, from jewelers to farmers, organize and communicate with ease

SANTA CLARA, Calif. – August 30, 2011 – FileMaker, Inc. today announced the new Bento Business Organizer, a free set of customized database templates that make it easy to manage businesses run by sole proprietors. The Bento Business Organizer from FileMaker, available free with a 30-day trial of Bento 4, offers a set of powerful templates tailor-made for business owners that sell handcrafted goods such as furniture, clothing, paintings, baked goods and jewelry at farmers' markets, festivals or from their own studios, workshops, and web sites, such as Etsy.com.

Bento is the most-popular line of personal database products for Mac, iPhone and iPad.  Bento 4 for Mac recently received an Editor’s Choice from PC Magazine. The magazine also recently named Bento for iPad among the top 10 business apps for iPad.

Mobile marketing and communications made easy
QR codes stored in the Bento Business Organizer Products template can be printed onto the new line of Avery merchandising and branding labels (22806 label), which is square and ideal for printing QR Codes.  These labels can be affixed to products and then scanned by a variety of mobile devices, including the iPhone and iPad 2. The QR Code links the viewer to a web page, email address, or map location to provide a mobile portfolio of product information and other details.
