The Support Group Marks 25th Anniversary with FileMaker Class Discounts

Natick, Massachusetts,  Apr 16, 2010 - The Support Group today is happy to announce major price reductions on their FileMaker Pro training for Mac and Windows, as part of the celebrations surrounding their 25th anniversary. Conducted every month at their facilities in Boston, NYC, LA and the SF Bay Area, the Introduction to FileMaker Pro class is 66% off and the Intermediate FileMaker Pro class is 33% off the normal price.
The Support Group is one of a handful of companies chosen by FileMaker to be an Authorized training provider to teach their FileMaker Training Series classes. The company is also the original author of the Series curriculum. All trainers are active FileMaker developers to ensure expert, real-world, quality instruction.
FileMaker Pro is a recognized industry standard. Designed for use by non-programmers, it employs a friendly graphical user interface allowing users to create custom databases for their own unique needs, safely share information with both Windows and Mac users, and securely publish databases to the web. The one-day Introduction to FileMaker Pro class is appropriate for those students with no experience in FileMaker. Topics covered include: planning databases, creating dbs, defining fields, entering and displaying information, locating information, sorting data to generate reports, standard layout conventions and sharing saved reports.
Though it is simple enough for beginners, FileMaker is sufficiently powerful to be used for the most demanding jobs. The two-day Intermediate FileMaker Pro class is for those students with minimal experience, or who have just completed the introductory session. Discussed are: using multiple tables, importing and exporting, automating data entry, calculations, advanced layout techniques, value lists, reporting, scripting and buttons, relationships and viewing related data.
Over many years, the interactive classes have been refined to provide a rich, lively and enjoyable educational experience. Trainers are specially selected for their experience and passion, and all training centers are equipped with the latest hardware and software. Class participants will also be eligible for discounts on mentoring services, so they can consult with instructors on an ongoing basis.
"This is really a golden opportunity for anyone who has ever thought about learning FileMaker Pro," stated General Manager Jeff Turner. "And if you're not near any of our training centers, contact us about hosting training on-site at your facility."
Pricing and Availability:
Introduction to FileMaker Pro from The Support Group is one day, and is regularly $295 (USD). Intermediate FileMaker Pro is two days, and is normally $595. Available only from May 1 through August 31, 2010 the classes will be offered for $99 and $399, respectively.
