Worldsync Awarded Patent for Syncdek
Unique, Patented Technology Is the Power that Drives SyncDeK 6 for Trustworthy Data Replication in Custom FileMaker Solutions
The protection granted by the U.S. Patent Office covers SyncDeK's
bi-directional asynchronous data replication technique for database
management and synchronization implemented across a peer-to-peer
computer network. Within a sharing community, database record
changes are synchronized by storing change information in a
synchronization object, which is transmitted by a local-user
computer at any time to a routing agent, which in turn transmits
the synchronization object at any time to a remote-user computer
within the sharing community, and the synchronization object is
then used by that remote-user computer to update database records.

direct synchronization for FileMaker Server Advanced, enhanced
Version Update Manager (VUM) supporting automatic version updates,
and much more. SyncDeK 6 introduces an option for developers to
provide centralized synchronization in SyncDeK-enabled solutions
using the new SyncDeK Server. SyncDeK 6 also provides enhancements
to its original email protocol-based, decentralized data
distribution method covered in the patent.
The streamlined installation and configuration process for SyncDeK
6 requires significantly less expertise and effort than ever
before. Now, installation with SyncDeK 6 involves the addition of
four required fields, the creation of a single FileMaker account
with xDBC access, and the addition of a single SyncDeK database
file that designates a table occurrence for each table to be
