Niggemann is a food wholesaler which has specialised in premium-segment fresh foods.

The company operates in the North Rhine-Westphalia region of Germany and supplies top-class catering and retail establishments with its products. Herwig Niggemann is Managing Partner and has been running the company since 1971.
Goods are supplied daily to more than 1,500 customers by the workforce of some 220 employees.

The company uses FileMaker for many of its business processes as a complement to the main management information software from Sage Bäurer.

Many processes, ranging from financial to inventory checking, packing lists, price labels, time recording and even through to route planning for the delivery fleet, are created using FileMaker.

FileMaker helps us to map our processes even more precisely to our own specific requirements, which our ERP system cannot do. In other words, it helps us to plug gaps and thus work even more efficiently and faster

"The fact that FileMaker Go connects to the iPhone and to the iPad has made our work a whole lot easier. Regardless of the application, we are able to gain a significant amount of time and thus to reduce costs; and thanks to the wireless connection, we have up-to-the-minute information at all times." The company’s next project is to implement mobile order picking using FileMaker Go.
