FileMaker Donations 2.0.1 is a French and German language release only. English language users who are already using Donations 2.0 do not need to install Donations 2.0.1. FileMaker Donations 2.0 is a free update for FileMaker Donations 1.0 customers.

FileMaker Donations 2.0 resolves several issues relating to pre-defined security access levels, tracking of actions required by users for a campaign, saved finds, attributes for event participation and a robust reporting engine.

Installation notes

Once downloaded, you will need to use your FileMaker Donations 1.0 serial number to install the new version.

Migrating from FileMaker Donations 1.0

If you are currently using FileMaker Donations 1.0, follow these four easy steps to make your transition to FileMaker Donations 2.0.1.

1. Back up your version 1.0 data
   • Launch FileMaker Donations 1.0.
   • Once running, navigate to the Home:Preferences section.
   • Click Backup.
   • Eventually, depending on the size of your database, you'll receive a message that the backup is complete. Click OK.
   • Exit FileMaker Donations 1.0, either by quitting FileMaker or by closing the open Donations 1.0 window.
2. Install FileMaker Donations 2.0.1
   • Launch the FileMaker Donations 2.0.1 Installer.
   • When prompted for a serial number or password, use your FileMaker Donations 1.0 serial number.
3. Prepare your backup data for restore
   • In your file system, navigate to the FileMaker Donations 1.0 folder.
   • Copy the enclosed Data Backup folder into the newly installed FileMaker Donations 2.0.1 folder called Version 1 Import Data.
4. Restore your data
   • Launch FileMaker Donations 2.0.1.
   • Make sure you are signed into the system.
   • Navigate to the Home:Admin section.
   • Click Import From Version 1.
   • When presented with the Import From Version 1 dialog box, confirm by clicking OK.
   • You will be presented with a second dialog box to ensure that this is something you really want to do. Click OK.
   • The Import dialog box will communicate status. When complete, you'll get an 'Import is complete' message.

You are now ready to sign in and use FileMaker Donations 2.0.1.
