Modifying a Search

  2. To add another find request, tap Modify find request icon and tap Add Find Request.
  3. Enter further find criteria.
  4. (optional) Tap Matching records icon and choose Omit Matching if you want to omit records containing the criteria in the new find request.
  5. (optional) Tap Find or sort icon and choose Constrain Found Set to narrow your search, or tap Extend Found Set to broaden your search.
  6. Tap Go.

To omit a record or omit multiple records from a found set:

  1. Perform a find in Find mode.
  2. If you're omitting a specific record, go to that record in the found set.
  3. Tap Find or sort icon.
  4. Tap Omit Records.
  5. To omit the current record, tap Omit. Or type the number of records you want to omit. The current record and the specified number of records that follow the current record are removed from the found set. If you aren't sure how many records follow the current record, type a large number and FileMaker will display the number of records you can omit.
