FileMaker Pro Primes the Right Pump for Bran+Luebbe

Since its inception in 1932, Bran+Luebbe, an international marketer and manufacturer of analyzers, metering pumps, components and full-service systems for industrial processes, has based its existence on its customers - making customer satisfaction the main focus.

The ability to attract clients with their quality product has never been a problem for Bran+Luebbe, but managing this extensive, growing customer base naturally led the company to evaluate its current processes. How could they better manage and track its customer issues, requests and complaints? Bob Arcaro, President of Bran+Luebbe's US division, explains, 'we were flying blind,' referring to the company's current customer management system. After several months of frustration trying to implement a system using Microsoft Access and other solutions, the company turned to Metro Technologies. This cutting-edge consulting firm, specializing in emerging technologies, was asked to structure an enterprise solution to increase rapid response to customer requirements. To build this solution, Metro Technologies employed FileMaker Pro, the award-winning database solution from FileMaker Inc. Bob definitely was very pleased with the results, stating 'now we are getting solid information to work from.'

FileMaker Pro gave Bran+Luebbe the ability to connect the sales group, customer support group and service group quickly and easily - bringing everyone together on one centralized enterprise solution. Currently, the company has 60 employees using PCs to access 57 databases and over 55,000 individual database records. Having everyone on the same system has allowed the company to better manage, track and follow up on its customer base. It is designed to free up employees from tedious work associated with past solutions, making their jobs more value added and satisfying. 'Using FileMaker Pro was an effective way to rapidly develop this application. This solution will work for all types of businesses, not just manufacturing,' said Gary Dotzlaw, vice president, business development.
