FileMaker lets us follow the progress of each drive through every step of the data recovery process – from the moment the drive arrives at our facility to the moment it's shipped back to the owner.'

Nikki Stange is responsible for the basic FileMaker system used at DriveSavers, and from the moment she started work at the company, there's never been any question of using another database. 'I've used FileMaker since 1989, and what first drew me to it was its ease of use,' Nikki explains. 'I was able to learn to use it simply from working with an existing database – it was so easy to make changes, to create the tools I needed.' Nikki is particularly pleased with FileMaker's scripting capabilities. 'For the users, it's just like magic,' she enthuses. 'Just click a button and the script does the rest.!'

Sandia Castro, responsible for coming up with special FileMaker projects, shares Nikki's excitement. She's come up with applications for everything from putting together detailed price quotes for clients to a custom database of local restaurants that allows DriveSavers employees to order lunch without having to leave their desks! 'FileMaker has made everything quicker and more efficient, and every day I can't wait to come in and start working with it!'
