Independent FileMaker Pro 8.5 developer expects Web Viewer to make a real difference for his clients
No one appreciates the issues and concerns of small business like someone who runs one – and no one understands the data processing concerns of small business like a developer who specializes in meeting those needs. For Tom Horton of Silkwood Solutions, the goal is to build powerful, easy-to-use FileMaker Pro database applications that meet the special day-to-day challenges of a small business environment. That's why Tom is looking forward to putting FileMaker Pro 8.5 to work for his clients. The new Web Viewer Control is Tom's favorite new feature, and he's already thinking of how it's going to help his clients save time and effort. "As part of their ISO 9001:2000 certification, one of my clients plans on using it to allow them to access CVS controlled documents that are critical for employee training," he anticipates. "It'll also give them live access to vendor websites for information used to create product quotes. Accessing that web data directly will make it easier to bring in that information, and will eliminate extra steps in finding the data."
