For 24 years, our annual in-person DevCon created a special bond with the Claris Community, and I’m sure many of our employees and past attendees cherished fond memories.
Forced by the pandemic, we had to pause and rethink our routine, and developed the first-ever, two-day, virtual Claris Engage 2020 to celebrate our 25th event anniversary. Even though the event was challenging to produce, the result exceeded our expectations in terms of reach, satisfaction, and unprecedented attendance highs. The one thing it couldn’t deliver was the face-to-face interaction our community craves.
Last fall, we had much hope that 2021 would allow us to get back together in person. However, we’ve come to realize that uncertainty still prevails, and our Claris values remind us that safety comes first. It will have to be a virtual-only experience yet again.
A new, innovative format.
As we explored our opportunities to further improve the Claris Engage experience, we surveyed the Claris Community, asked what they most value about the event, and found out what's most important to them. The results were clear: Overwhelmingly, attendees want to discover more about the platform, learn from Claris about the future of our products and company, and network with others in the community.
But a lot has changed over the past year, and countless video conferences into it, many people feel fatigued and less inspired by the idea of several days full of virtual events. You may relate.
Our innovative spirits were challenged again, and we created a new event concept spreading out the sessions over the course of the year, rather than lumping them into a three-day period.
This format will bring content to the community in real-time, allows our team to develop more relevant content, and makes it much more consumable. True agility in the making! We’re calling this new experience Claris Engage Beyond 2021.
We’ll provide new ways to advance learning opportunities that help our community stay ahead of the curve. With Claris Engage Beyond, participants don’t have to wait for a live event to receive Claris insights and participate in virtual sessions, workshops, and executive chats. We’re excited to focus on what’s most important – delivering valuable information throughout the months to come.

Behind the scenes.
Last week, we shared our concept for Claris Engage Beyond 2021 with select partners and community members, and their enthusiasm and support thrilled us!
The team is also working on the full agenda plus issuing our call for content. Members from our community will have opportunities to inspire, inform, and showcase success stories, use cases, and tech features – throughout the year.
While we truly look forward to eventually reconvening in person in 2022 (tentatively scheduled for July 11-14 at the Gaylord Opryland in Nashville, Tennessee), until then, we are excited to Engage Beyond, and hope you are, too!
